THEY'VE DONE IT AGAIN! Congratulations to the Elite Lite and Team Elite teams for their great scores at Dance Canada in London!

Congratulations goes out to Alexander and Rachel for scoring 2nd Runner Up Junior and Senior Pre-Competitive Soloists, "Born to Fly" won 1st runner-up Highest Scoring Junior Pre-Competitive Duet/Trio and "Party Rock" won 1st runner-up Highest Scoring Junior Pre-Competitive Group! Congrats also to Katherine for winning 3rd and Highest Scoring Novice Soloist of Competition!

"Ding, Dong!" won Highest Scoring Mini Duet/Trio, "We Got the Beat" and "I Just Wanna Be Happy" won 1st runner-up and Highest Scoring Mini Groups with "Superstar" winning Highest Scoring Mini Line!

Lauren M., Madi and Lauren Bn. swept the Junior Overall Solo awards winning 3rd, 2nd and Highest Scoring Junior Solos. "Cooler, Couleur" won 2nd Highest Scoring Junior D/T, "Libertango" and "Tightrope" won 2nd and 1st runner-up Highest Scoring Junior Group.

Makayla won 2nd runner-up Highest Scoring Pre-Intermediate Solo, "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off" won 1st runner-up Pre-Intermediate D/T and "Feel Good Time" won 1st runner-up Highest Scoring Pre-Intermediate group. "Commander" came away with Highest Scoring Junior Line/Ext. Line.

Additional congratulations to "Heart of the Homeless" who won Highest Scoring Senior Group and "Versus" who won 2nd runner-up Highest Scoring Senior D/T.

More congratulations to our Miss Dance Canada qualifiers: Riley, Emma H., Lauren M., Madi, Lauren Bn., Lauren Br., Emma S., Makayla, Madeleine, Madisen and Jillian U.

Lastly, congratulations to Ms. Tonya for winning Best Choreography for "Commander" and also to "Commander" for winning the JUNIOR CANADA CUP!!!

THREE-PEAT!! Congratulations to the Team Elite and Elite Lite teams for their spectacular performances this past weekend (April 13-15) in Niagara Falls. Nearly 600 routines and you continued to stand out! Way to go!

Most Potential soloist of competition were awarded to Alina, Madi and Madisen. Best Sessional Choreography went to "African Sunrise", "Good Morning", "Heart of the Homeless" and "Cooler Couleur". 

Congratulations to Maia for winning Overall Mini soloist and to "Ding, Dong!" for 1st runner up Mini Duet/Trio. "Waiting on the World to Change" won 1st runner up Junior D/T with "Cooler Couleur" winning Highest Scoring Overall Junior D/T. 

Also, "Heart of the Homeless" won Highest Scoring Senior Group, and "Commander" won Highest Scoring Junior Ext. Line. Emma S. and Makayla were both Top 10 Junior Soloists, with Madi winning 1st runner up Overall Junior soloist. Madisen was also ranked as a top 10 Senior soloist, with Jillian U. winning 1st runner up senior soloist.

Additional congratulations goes to our scholarship winners: Madi, Emma S., Maia, Alexander, Zachary, Madisen, Jillian U. and Makayla who were awarded over $2000 in scholarships!

A final congratulations goes out to "Commander" who won Overall Junior Finalist of Competition along with awarding Ms. Tonya Best Choreography of Competition! Well done everyone, let's keep this going!

Spectacular Weekend at StarBeat Dance Champions

SO AWESOME! Well done dancers! Team Elite returned from a spectacular weekend at StarBeat Dance in Toronto! You continue to amaze, you brought home nearly two-thirds of the overall awards!

Congratulations to Sydney for receiving 1st runner up Novice solo, Kate, Ella and Maia for winning 3rd, 2nd and Highest scoring Mini soloist, Alina and Emma H. for winning 3rd and 2nd Highest scoring Pre-Junior Soloist, Lauren Bn. and Madi for winning 3rd and 2nd Highest scoring Junior soloist with Lauren Br. and Emma S. winning 3rd and 2nd Highest scoring Pre-Intermediate soloist.

Zack and Madeleine each won for 3rd and 2nd highest Intermediate soloist with Jillian and Madisen each winning 2nd Highest Pre-Senior and Senior soloist. Additionally, Maia won highest scoring Musical Theatre number of competition!

Additional congratulations goes out to "Peroxide Swing" and "Cooler Couleur" for winning 3rd abd 2nd Highest scoring Duo/Trio and "Versus" was awarded Highest scoring Senior Duo/Trio. "Drumline Girls" won 2nd Highest scoring Junior Group, "When We Were Young" won 2nd Highest scoring Junior large group, "Sinnerman" won Highest scoring Intermediate group and "Commander" won Highest scoring Intermediate Ext. Line.

Also we would like to acknowledge our scholarship winners: Madisen and Jillian U. came home with both Scholarships for $1000 to train in L.A. and N.Y.C! Plus, Emily W. and Madi won the FRESH dance scholarship! As well, Madeleine won "Best All-Around Dancer of Competition" scholarship to train at the prestigious "Steps on Broadway" studio in N.Y.C.

Lastly, both "Drumline Girls" and "Sinnerman" made it into the Dance-Off and came 1st runner-up in the Junior and Intermediate categories! Way to go boys and girls! Keep up the excellent work!

WOW! WHAT A START! Congratulations to Team Elite and Elite Lite Teams for their fantastic work this past weekend at Champions Dance in Hamilton! What a great start to the season!

Wonderful scores, tons of special awards and excellent performances, you performed extremely well. Honourable Mentions went out to Maddi H., "Peroxide Swing", "When We Were Young", "Sing, Sing, Sing", "Good Feeling", Alexander and Rachel! Way to go!

"Libertango" and "Oh My Love" scored 3rd and Highest Scoring Junior Group/Line, Lauren Br. and Emma scored 1st runner up highest "Intermediate" solos with Madeleine scoring the 3rd highest scoring "Pre-Senior" solo and Sydney and Katherine scoring 3rd and 1st runner up Overall Novice Solos. Additional congratuations to "Sinnerman" and "Commander" for 3rd and Highest Scoring Intermediate Group/Lines!

Lastly, "Commander" scored 1st runner up Intermediate Champion of Champions and "Oh My Love" scored Overall Junior Champion of Champions! Way to bring home the hardware! Let's keep up the excellent work!

2012 Competitive Showcase

Elite Dance Centre hosted its 8th annual Competitive Showcase on Sunday, February 5th! Excellent work, boys and girls, you looked great! We are so proud of you! Here we go, one month countdown to competition, let's keep it up!

EDC Movie Night

What a great night! Thank you to Ms. Melanie and all the volunteers who helped out organizing the movie night. An extra special thank you goes to Fanshawe College for donating the popcorn machine! Popcorn, treats, movies, jammies and friends - we couldn't have asked for a better event!

Elite Dance Centre Christmas Food Drive A Huge Success

Elite Dance Centre Students and Families brought in over 600 items for those in need this Christmas Season.  This was more than double the goal of 300 items.

What a great effort!  Thank you so much for your overwhelming show of support!
